Some Images From Our Winemaking Course

A Winemakers 101 course for beginning winemakers has been offered at Casa Italiana/Holy Rosary Church located at 595 Third Street, NW beginning in September. The text is by Daniel Pambianchi. William Meaux and Romeo Sabatini have been teaching the course with the help of other advanced winemakers in the group and invited guests.
For anyone just starting, this course cover everything they need to know, and it is also a good refresher for winemakers who still consider this a new hobby they wish to learn more about. The course takes you you through to your own personal crush and start of fermentation.
Mr. Sabatini includes a session where we actually get to be on site at his home vineyard to review picking of the grapes, the various measurements of acids and sugar content, and the crushing and pressing processes.

Here are a few images taken during the course.
